Information
Gearbox mount.
This OE Match transmission mount is a high-quality replacement component designed to support and secure the gearbox to the vehicle chassis in Porsche 718 models. It mount that connects the transmission assembly to the chassis structure. It uses internal damping technology to absorb drivetrain vibrations while maintaining the correct position of the gearbox. By replicating the dimensions and performance characteristics of the original Porsche part, it offers a direct-fit replacement solution suitable for maintenance or drivetrain repairs.
Sold each, Fits left and right
Fits:
Porsche 718 (982) Boxster 2.0L / 2.5L 2017>>
Porsche 718c (982C) Cayman 2.0L / 2.5L 2017>>
Diagram ref no 4
The transmission mount stabilises the gearbox and isolates drivetrain vibration from the vehicle body. It keeps the transmission correctly aligned during acceleration, braking and gear changes, helping ensure smooth power delivery and reducing noise or harshness felt inside the cabin
Function
• Drivetrain Support: Secures the transmission to the chassis structure.
• Vibration Dampening: Hydraulic design absorbs engine and gearbox vibrations.
• Alignment Stability: Maintains correct gearbox positioning under load.
• Driving Comfort: Helps reduce noise, vibration and harshness during operation.
Transmission mounts can deteriorate over time due to heat, load cycles and vibration. When worn, they may allow excessive drivetrain movement, leading to clunking noises during gear changes, increased vibration in the cabin and reduced drivetrain stability. Replacing the mount with an OE Match part restores proper gearbox support and smooth driving characteristics.
Consider replacing the transmission mount if you notice:
• Clunking or movement during gear shifts
• Increased vibration in the cabin
• Drivetrain movement under acceleration or braking
• Visible cracking or collapse of the mount
