What This Product Does:
- Seals the opening around the windscreen wiper shaft.
- Helps prevent water, dirt, and debris from entering the bodywork.
- Protects the luggage compartment and cowl area from moisture.
- Supports correct positioning of the wiper shaft assembly.
- Replaces cracked, hardened, or perished original grommets.
- Restores the factory appearance of the wiper installation.
- Provides an OE-style fit for straightforward installation.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Cracked, split, or perished rubber grommet.
- Water leaks around the wiper shaft.
- Moisture entering the luggage compartment or cowl area.
- Hardened, shrunken, or distorted rubber.
- Visible gaps around the wiper spindle.
- Corrosion developing around the mounting aperture.
- Damage identified during wiper mechanism servicing or restoration.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The windshield wiper shaft rubber grommet is a small but essential sealing component that prevents water and contaminants from entering the body through the wiper shaft mounting point. A deteriorated grommet can allow moisture to reach vulnerable areas, increasing the risk of corrosion, water damage, and premature wear of adjacent components.
- Replacing a worn or damaged grommet restores the weatherproof seal, protects the surrounding bodywork, and helps preserve the correct operation and appearance of the windscreen wiper assembly. Manufactured as a direct replacement and produced to OE-style specifications, this OE Match Windshield Wiper Shaft Rubber Grommet provides reliable fit, performance, and durability for Porsche maintenance, repairs, and restoration projects.
