What This Product Does:
- The window regulator is the mechanical mechanism inside the car door that raises and lowers the glass when you press the window switch. Without a functioning regulator, the glass may not move, may bind, or may drop.
- A “without motor” version means you get the regulator/mechanism portion – the gears, tracks/cables, guides – but you reuse or replace the motor separately.
- Having a correct regulator ensures the window travels smoothly, stays aligned, seals properly, and doesn’t sag or fall into the door.
Symptoms & Signs You Might Need Replacement:
- The window does not move up or down when you press the switch, yet you may hear the motor trying.
