The isolator is engineered to withstand continual exposure to vibration, temperature fluctuations, humidity and ageing without hardening, cracking or losing its elasticity. Precision-moulded to OE dimensions, it provides replacement fitment, making it ideal during HVAC repairs, heater box servicing or replacing worn or deteriorated original mounting components.
What This Product Does:
- Supports the air distribution housing securely within the vehicle.
- Isolates the HVAC housing from engine and road vibrations.
- Reduces noise and vibration transmitted into the cabin.
- Maintains correct alignment of the air distribution assembly.
- Helps protect surrounding HVAC components from excessive movement.
- Replaces worn or deteriorated rubber mounting isolators.
- Forms an essential part of the heating and ventilation system.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Increased vibration from the dashboard or HVAC system.
- Rattling or knocking noises from behind the dashboard.
- Loose or poorly supported air distribution housing.
- Visible cracking or splitting of the rubber.
- Hardened or compressed rubber isolator.
- Excessive movement of the HVAC housing.
- Misalignment of air distribution components.
- Premature wear of adjacent mounting hardware.
- Increased cabin noise during driving.
- Deteriorated or perished rubber visible during inspection.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The rubber isolator is continually exposed to vibration, heat, humidity and repeated thermal cycling throughout the life of the vehicle. Over time, the rubber naturally hardens, compresses or deteriorates, reducing its ability to absorb vibration and securely support the air distribution housing.
- A worn isolator can allow excessive movement of the HVAC assembly, resulting in unwanted rattles, increased cabin noise and additional stress on surrounding ducts, mountings and ventilation components. If left unrepaired, prolonged movement may contribute to premature wear of related HVAC parts.
