This OE Match replacement restores dependable operation and factory-style functionality, making it ideal for routine maintenance, repairs, and Porsche restoration projects.
What This Product Does:
- Detects when the transmission is in Park or Neutral.
- Allows the engine to start only in the correct selector positions.
- Prevents accidental engine starting while a drive gear is engaged.
- Sends accurate gear position signals to the vehicle's electrical systems.
- Supports safe and reliable automatic transmission operation.
- Replaces worn or faulty original switches.
- Provides an OE-style fit and dependable performance.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Engine will not start in Park or Neutral.
- Intermittent starting problems.
- Vehicle starts while in gear.
- Incorrect gear position indication.
- Transmission warning lights or fault codes.
- Inconsistent operation of the gear selector.
- Worn, damaged, or contaminated switch contacts.
- Age-related deterioration of the original component.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The park / neutral position switch is a critical safety component that ensures the engine can only be started when the automatic transmission is in Park or Neutral. A worn or faulty switch can lead to intermittent no-start conditions, inaccurate gear position signals, or, in severe cases, allow the engine to start while a drive gear is selected, creating a potential safety risk.
- Replacing a defective park / neutral position switch restores reliable starting, accurate transmission position detection, and the safe operation of your Porsche's automatic transmission system. Manufactured as a direct replacement and produced to OE-style specifications, this OE Match component provides the correct fit, dependable performance, and long-lasting durability, making it an excellent choice for maintenance, repairs, and restoration projects.
