Information
Cap For Oil Pressure Switch.
Protect the electrical connection of your Porsche oil pressure switch with this OE Match Cap for Oil Pressure Switch, manufactured as a direct replacement. Produced to OE-style specifications, this protective cap is designed to fit securely over the oil pressure switch terminal, shielding the electrical connection from moisture, dirt, oil contamination, and engine bay debris. By protecting the terminal from the elements, it helps ensure reliable signal transmission between the oil pressure switch and the vehicle's electrical system.
Fits:
Diagram Ref No 72
With age and prolonged exposure to engine heat, oil vapours, and routine servicing, the original cap can become brittle, cracked, distorted, or may be lost altogether. An exposed electrical terminal is more susceptible to corrosion and contamination, which can result in poor electrical contact or intermittent oil pressure warning light operation. Replacing the protective cap restores the integrity of the connection, making this OE Match component ideal for Porsche maintenance, repairs, and restoration projects.

What This Product Does:
- Protects the oil pressure switch electrical terminal.
- Helps prevent moisture, dirt, and oil contamination from reaching the connector.
- Reduces the risk of corrosion at the electrical contact.
- Supports reliable oil pressure signal transmission.
- Replaces damaged, hardened, or missing protective caps.
- Helps maintain the integrity of the engine's electrical system.
- Provides an OE-style fit for straightforward installation.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Missing oil pressure switch protective cap.
- Cracked, split, or hardened cap material.
- Corrosion on the oil pressure switch terminal.
- Loose-fitting or damaged cap.
- Dirt or moisture around the electrical connection.
- Intermittent oil pressure warning light caused by poor electrical contact.
- Damage identified during engine servicing or restoration.
Why Replacement Matters:
- The oil pressure switch cap is a small but essential protective component that helps preserve the electrical connection between the oil pressure switch and the vehicle's wiring harness. Without adequate protection, moisture, dirt, and oil contamination can compromise the terminal, resulting in corrosion, unreliable electrical signals, and inaccurate oil pressure warning indications.
- Replacing a worn or missing cap restores protection to the electrical connection, helping to maintain dependable oil pressure monitoring and preventing unnecessary electrical faults. Manufactured as a direct replacement and produced to OE-style specifications, this OE Match Cap for Oil Pressure Switch provides reliable fit, performance, and durability for Porsche maintenance, repairs, and restoration projects.

Information
Oil pressure sender.
This OE Match oil pressure sender is a direct replacement for Porsche part number 92860620304, manufactured to original specifications for accurate readings and reliable performance. It is installed in the engine oil system, typically mounted on or near the engine block or oil housing.
Fits:
Porsche 964 1989 - 1994
Porsche 993 1994 - 1998
Porsche 928 1978 - 1991
Porsche 924S 1986 - 1988
Porsche 968 1992 - 1995
Porsche 944 1982 - 1991
Diagram ref no 40.
The sender measures oil pressure and converts it into an electrical signal that is displayed on the dashboard gauge. This allows the driver to monitor engine lubrication in real time - critical for engine health.
This part replaces several earlier versions including 92860620301, 92860620302, and 94460620301.
The oil pressure sender continuously monitors engine oil pressure and relays this information to the vehicle’s instrument cluster. This ensures the driver is alerted to any abnormal pressure conditions that could indicate lubrication issues.
Accurate oil pressure monitoring is essential to prevent engine damage caused by insufficient lubrication.
Function
• Measures engine oil pressure
• Sends signal to dashboard gauge or warning light
• Helps monitor engine lubrication in real time
• Alerts driver to potential oil system issues
Over time, oil pressure senders can fail due to internal wear, contamination, or electrical faults. A faulty sender may give incorrect readings or trigger warning lights unnecessarily.
Replacing a worn or failing sender ensures accurate oil pressure monitoring, helping to protect the engine from potential damage caused by low lubrication.
When to replace
• Incorrect or fluctuating oil pressure readings
• Oil pressure warning light activation
• Oil leaks from sender unit
• Electrical faults or intermittent gauge readings
• During engine maintenance or restoration
