Intake Plenum + 74mm Throttle Body + Induction Kit Porsche 987 Cayman/Boxster S 3.2L IPD
Fits:
Porsche 987 GEN1 Cayman S 3.2L
Porsche 987 GEN1 Boxster S 3.2L
987 Competition Cayman 3.2L Plenum: HP Gains 20+ / Torque Gains 18 Requires upgrading factory 68mm Throttle Body with 74mm Throttle Body
Recommended to be installed on modified Caymans with Hi-Flow Cat back exhaust
The perfectly balanced mid engine Cayman/Boxster is Germany's canyon carving track meister. Unfortunately, the Cayman/Boxster was delivered slightly under powered from the factory so as not to threaten the Carrera's throne. The Cayman IPD intake plenum delivers increased performance that puts the Cayman/Boxster in the ring with the Carrera.
The IPD Plenum out performs every other intake system on the market. Don't be fooled by other competitors claiming to offer Plenums. All factory Porsche air distributors are of the "T" variety and therefore suffer from less than ideal air flow and intake air speed.
The genius and power behind the IPD plenums comes from the patented "Y" style design and optimized diversion areas to deliver real and impressive power that will transform your Cayman's/Boxster's performance and heighten your Porsche driving experience.
The Cayman/Boxster IPD Intake Plenums are available in 3 versions, each one specifically designed to meet the performance requirements of varying Cayman/Boxster enthusiasts. IPD offers the ultimate Cayman/Boxster performance upgrades, all the way from mild to wild.
The IPD Cayman/Boxster "Competition" Plenum was designed to meet the needs of the most demanding Cayman/Boxster S enthusiasts. The "Competition" Plenums is even larger and utilizes the 74mm throttle body allowing it to deliver even greater air flow and substantial increases in performance.
The "Competition" version is designed to work with both bone stock Caymans/Boxsters but produces even more horsepower gains (20+) with Caymans/Boxsters already equipped with after market "cat back" high flow performance exhaust and other performance mods.

Information
BMC replacement air filter - cylindrical filter.
This Product Fits:
Porsche 997 MKII 2009>>
Cylindrical Filter Size:
- width - 163mm
- height - 171mm
- diameter - 119mm
BMC air filters are designed and produced to ensure a higher air flow than original paper filters. In F1, for example, BMC cotton filters minimize the loss of air flow pressure passing through the air filter; this way ensures the best conditions for full exploitation of maximum power. Therefore the benefits of replacing the original paper filter with BMC cotton air filter, produced using the same technology and materials as the F1 air filters, are evident.
DESIGN AND MATERIALS
Qualified engineers using advanced software and expert technicians using the latest technologies produce BMC air filters. An F1 filter must be very light, must be made of the best raw materials and must improve performance. For this reason we use only alloy mesh with epoxy coating to ensure protection from petrol fumes and from oxidization due to the humidity of the air. The filtering material is composed of a special cotton gauze soaked with low-viscosity oil to give you the best air permeability.

HOW IS A BMC FILTER REGENERATED?
We recommend using original BMC kits only, as other products may not be effective or may damage the filter permanently, thus invalidating the warranty.
We recommend regenerating the filter (washing + oil application) every 20.000 – 25.000 km to ensure best performance and long service life.
This value is a rough estimate and can vary based on the climatic conditions and the ground on which the vehicle is used (sand, dirt roads, etc.).
The various steps to be carried out in order to regenerate the filtering element are indicated in the instructions contained in the regeneration kit.
