Information
Ignition HT lead set, Complete set
This OE Match Ignition HT Lead Set is a complete high-tension ignition cable kit designed for Porsche 924 Turbo models. It delivers electrical current from the ignition system to the engine’s spark plugs.
Fits:
Porsche 924 Turbo 1979 - 1982
This OE match ignition HT lead set is a direct replacement for the original Porsche ignition wiring used in the 924 Turbo. Designed to factory specifications, the set includes all necessary leads to connect the ignition coil and distributor to each cylinder.
This ignition lead set transmits high-voltage electrical current from the ignition coil or distributor to the spark plugs, ensuring a strong and consistent spark for combustion.
By maintaining reliable spark delivery, it supports smooth engine operation, efficient fuel combustion, and consistent performance.
Function
• Transfers high-voltage current to spark plugs
• Ensures consistent and reliable ignition spark
• Maintains proper combustion efficiency
• Reduces electrical resistance and signal loss
• Provides insulation against heat, moisture, and vibration
Over time, ignition leads degrade due to heat, age, and electrical stress. This can cause weak spark delivery, leading to misfires, poor performance, and increased fuel consumption. Replacing worn leads restores ignition efficiency, improves engine smoothness, and ensures reliable starting and performance.
When to replace
• Engine misfires or rough idle
• Difficulty starting, especially in cold or damp conditions
• Visible cracks, wear, or brittle insulation
• Increased fuel consumption or poor performance
• During tune-up or ignition system service
