What This Product Does
This hose provides a connection in the tank's associated pipework. Both supplied exploded diagrams identify the same hose specification, making the dimensions and assembly location useful checks when identifying a replacement.
Functions
- Connects associated components in the tank assembly.
- Maintains the specified hose connection when replacing a deteriorated component.
Technical Details
- Part number: 00004320502.
- Brand: Porsche.
- Exploded-diagram designation: hose 9,5 X 15,5 - 180 MM.
- Specified dimensions: 9.5 x 15.5mm; specified length: 180mm.
- Each supplied diagram records one hose.
- Assembly applications: 964 fuel tank, 1989–94; 993 fuel tank, 1994–98.
Symptoms of Fault
- Petrol smells concentrated around the tank.
- Cracks, hardened areas or deterioration visible on the hose.
- Wet patches or fuel staining at its connections.
- A connection that no longer grips its adjoining fitting correctly.
Why Replacement Matters
Ageing hoses may develop cracks or lose their ability to seal at the fittings. Replacing a confirmed defective hose addresses that connection without assuming the complete tank needs renewal. During inspection, assess nearby pipework, seals and clamps as well; similar symptoms can originate elsewhere in the assembly.
FAQs
- What length is specified?
The supplied exploded-diagram entries give 180mm, alongside the 9.5 x 15.5mm hose dimensions. - Does a petrol odour confirm this hose has failed?
No. Inspect the hose and its connections, but also investigate neighbouring seals, filler pipework and breather components before choosing replacement parts. - What should be checked alongside the hose?
Examine the adjoining fittings and clamps for damage or corrosion, and assess nearby hoses for deterioration.
