What This Product Does
The kit renews the bush connections within the existing trailing arms rather than replacing the complete arm assemblies. These mounting points accommodate suspension movement while helping locate the rear wheels relative to the chassis.
Functions
- Replaces deteriorated trailing arm bushes.
- Renews the aluminium centres within the bush assemblies.
- Addresses unwanted movement caused by worn bushes.
- Supports correct rear suspension geometry.
Technical Details
- High-density rubber bushes with an 85 Shore hardness rating.
- Quantity supplied covers two rear trailing arms.
- New aluminium bush centre sections included.
- Intended use: fast road and track.
Symptoms of Fault
- Knocks or clunks from the rear suspension over uneven surfaces.
- A wandering or unsettled rear end when accelerating or braking.
- Uneven tyre wear associated with changing wheel alignment.
- Excessive movement, cracking or deterioration found during bush inspection.
These signs can also arise from other suspension components. Inspect the arms, joints, mounts and surrounding hardware before identifying the bushes as the cause.
Why Replacement Matters
Renewing worn bushes addresses play at the trailing arm mountings and helps maintain the intended wheel location. Inspect the existing arms for damage and check adjacent suspension parts during refurbishment; replacement bushes do not repair a damaged arm.
