What This Product Does
This genuine Porsche remote communicates with the matching factory central-locking and anti-theft equipment. It is a handheld transmitter, rather than a relay, fixing or vehicle-mounted control module.
Functions
- Transmits locking commands remotely.
- Communicates with compatible factory security equipment.
- Offers controls through two buttons.
Technical Details
- Part identification: 99663724440; two-button configuration; application period 2001–05.
- M534 denotes the anti-theft device. M533 denotes omission of radio-operated convertible-top control.
Symptoms of Fault
- No response when remote locking is requested.
- Remote operation cuts in and out.
- The transmitter only works close to the vehicle.
- Physical deterioration affects the buttons or casing.
- Manual key operation remains possible while remote operation fails.
Why Replacement Matters
Replacing a confirmed faulty transmitter can recover remote access through the original locking equipment. Similar behaviour may result from a depleted remote battery, low vehicle voltage or faults elsewhere in the security system, so investigate these before changing the transmitter.
