OE Match set of four handbrake shoe expanding bows (also called parking brake shoe expanders/spreaders) designed to restore correct mechanical expansion and release of the handbrake shoes inside the rear disc “drum-in-hat” parking brake system.

The expanding bow is a key handbrake hardware component that sits between the parking brake shoes and helps spread them evenly against the drum surface when the handbrake is applied. This OE Match version is made to match the original part’s fit and geometry for reliable installation and operation.
When you pull the handbrake lever, the mechanism forces the expanding bow to push the shoes outward. Correct expansion improves holding force and helps the shoes release cleanly when the handbrake is dropped - reducing drag, heat build-up, and uneven wear.
Function:
• Transfers handbrake actuation force into even shoe expansion
• Helps maintain consistent contact and predictable holding power
• Supports proper return/release so the shoes don’t bind or drag
