Automatic Transmission Oil Pan
Genuine Porsche automatic transmission oil pan (also referred to as a gearbox sump or transmission sump) designed to factory-specification and manufactured by Porsche for use with the 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission found on select Porsche Cayenne (958) and Panamera (970) models.

*NOTE: Unlike the Cayenne, the 970 Panamera could be equipped with Porsche's 7-speed PDK transmission (PR 250). Please note that this sump is compatible only with Tiptronic models and is not suitable for PDK-equipped vehicles. The transmission oil pan plays an essential role in the automatic transmission system by:
• Containing and protecting transmission fluid at the bottom of the transmission assembly
• Providing a seal between the transmission case and the fluid reservoir
• Serving as the mounting surface for the transmission fluid filter (where applicable)
• Helping maintain correct fluid level and aiding cooling of transmission fluid.
Proper fluid containment and serviceability is critical to consistent hydraulic pressure, smooth gear shifts, and long transmission life.
