What This Product Does
The lever conveys actuation movement to the release bearing so the clutch can disengage when required. It forms part of the release mechanism rather than the clutch friction assembly.
What This Part Does / Functions
Transfers clutch actuation force to the clutch release system.
Works with the clutch release bearing and related clutch components.
- Helps disengage the clutch when the pedal is pressed.
- Supports smooth clutch operation and gear engagement.
- Replaces a worn, cracked, bent or damaged original release lever.
- Helps restore correct clutch pedal feel and release action.
- Provides correct Genuine Porsche fitment and geometry.
- Supports reliable 6-speed manual transmission operation.
Why Replace This Part?
The clutch operating lever is exposed to repeated clutch pedal force, heat, vibration and wear within the bellhousing area. Over time, the lever or pivot contact areas can wear, bend, crack or become damaged. A worn or damaged lever can affect clutch release movement, cause poor gear selection, clutch drag, noise or inconsistent pedal feel.
Replacing it with a Genuine Porsche clutch operating lever helps restore correct OE clutch actuation and manual transmission performance.
FAQs
Does this include the release bearing?
The supplied diagrams identify the bearing, guide sleeve and retaining hardware as separate components; this product is the lever.
Should it be renewed during every clutch repair?
Base replacement on inspection of its condition, especially the pivot and contact areas.
Does the lever need lubrication?
Follow the applicable fitting instructions for lubrication points, keeping lubricant clear of clutch friction surfaces.
