Fuel distributor head gasket set
OE Match supplies this gasket set for resealing the fuel distributor head on Porsche 924 Turbo models from 1979–1984. It is intended for metering-head repair or overhaul, rather than replacement of the complete distributor.
Fits:
Porsche 924 turbo - 1979 to 1984
What This Product Does
The gaskets provide sealing within the fuel distributor head assembly. The distributor itself meters fuel and directs it to the injector lines in the CIS/K-Jetronic injection system; this set addresses its gasket sealing, not worn metering components or contamination.
Functions
- Renews gasket sealing during distributor servicing.
- Helps address leakage caused by deteriorated gaskets.
- Supports reassembly when the metering head has been dismantled for repair.
Technical Details
- Brand: OE Match.
- Product type: fuel distributor head gasket set.
Symptoms of Fault
Fuel seepage at the metering head or a fuel odour warrants inspection. Difficult starting, uneven idle and hesitation can also accompany distributor faults, but these symptoms do not establish that the gaskets need replacement.
Why Replacement Matters
Renewing damaged or ageing gaskets is part of restoring sealing during a distributor repair. Inspect the mating surfaces and investigate fuel-pressure, ignition and vacuum-related faults before deciding on the repair required.
FAQs
Is this a complete fuel distributor?
No. This product is a gasket set for servicing the distributor head.
Will new gaskets resolve every running fault?
No. Internal wear, deposits and faults elsewhere in the injection system may require separate attention.
What should be checked before fitting?
Confirm the vehicle application and distributor version, and assess the sealing surfaces and condition of the assembly.
