What This Product Does:
The wiper arm is the mechanical lever that connects the wiper motor via linkage to the wiper blade and transmits motion, pressing the blade onto the windshield to wipe.
Symptoms Of A Faulty Or Worn Wiper Arm:
- The wiper blade lifts off the windscreen in parts of its sweep — it’s not pressing properly.
- Chattering / skipping noise as the blade moves across the glass, indicating inconsistent pressure or misalignment.
- Poor wiping performance (streaks, missed spots) even with a new blade — could be the arm angle is off.
- Corrosion, bending, or damage to the arm, weakening its ability to hold the blade firmly.
- Loose, wobbly, or play in the wiper arm mounting or pivot — it doesn’t stay fixed.
- Maintains clear visibility in rain or snow — a flawed wiper arm severely impacts safety.
- Prevents damage to the blade and windshield — a misaligned or bent arm can wear out the blade prematurely or scratch the glass.
- Ensures even pressure and full sweep — a correct arm placement ensures the blade contacts the glass properly everywhere.
- Keeps the wiping system reliable — an OEM arm is made to correct strength, geometry, and fit for optimal performance.
