Zimmermann Formula Z brake discs are manufactured to exacting OE standards, offering outstanding dimensional accuracy, excellent heat management and long service life. Paired with Brembo's high-performance brake pads, renowned for their progressive pedal feel, excellent stopping power and low fade characteristics, this package delivers the braking performance expected from the Porsche 992 Carrera S range.
Replacing every major front brake wear component together ensures optimum compatibility, maximum braking efficiency and a professional-quality brake service.
How Does This Brake Package Work?
The front braking system converts the vehicle's kinetic energy into heat, allowing your Porsche to slow quickly and safely under all driving conditions.
Working together as a complete system, these components deliver smooth, predictable braking with excellent pedal response.
Why Do Brake Components Need Replacing?
Brake discs and pads are consumable items designed to wear gradually through normal use.
Typical causes of wear include:
- Repeated braking
- Fast road driving
- Heavy vehicle loads
- High operating temperatures
- Stop-start traffic
- General mileage accumulation
Over time, brake pads lose friction material while the brake discs wear thinner. If left beyond their service limits, braking performance, pedal feel and overall safety can be compromised.
Why Replace Everything at the Same Time?
Replacing the complete front brake assembly offers significant advantages over changing individual components.
Benefits include:
- Restores balanced braking performance
- Allows new pads to bed evenly against fresh disc surfaces
- Minimises brake noise and vibration
- Ensures accurate brake wear monitoring
- Prevents premature wear of new components
- Reduces repeat labour costs
- Delivers consistent braking characteristics
A complete brake service provides the most reliable and cost-effective long-term solution.
When Should This Brake Kit Be Replaced?
Replacement is recommended when:
- Brake pad wear indicators activate
- Pads have reached their minimum service thickness
- Brake discs are below the minimum allowable thickness
- Disc surfaces become scored or heat marked
- Brake judder develops
- Pedal feel becomes inconsistent
- A scheduled brake service is due
Replacing the discs, pads and sensors together ensures your Porsche continues to deliver the precise braking performance it was engineered to provide.
