Anti-Roll Bars (ARB’s) play an important role in a vehicle’s suspension system, helping to reduce body roll by transferring cornering load from one side of a vehicle to the other.
Often mounted to the vehicle’s chassis with rubber bushes, these bushes ensure the bar works as intended. To prevent the anti-roll bar from moving laterally within its mounts when turning, OE manufacturers will either bond the bushes to the bar, add dead-stops to the bar itself, or rely solely on the clamping pressure of the rubber.
But what happens when those bushes wear and need to be replaced? Often anti-roll bars with bonded bushes come as a costly complete assembly, so the alternative is to fit a more cost-effective unbonded polyurethane replacement, like the many we offer.
In most cases, friction from the bush will prevent any side-to-side bar movement. Still, when turning aggressively or cornering at higher speeds, a laterally shifting anti-roll bar decreases the efficiency and effectiveness of the bar, changing the dynamics of your suspension system in unpredictable ways. It also poses the risk of the bar fouling on other areas of the vehicle or suspension system.
OE Match rear stabilizer bar repair kit for Porsche 996 Turbo models. This complete rear anti-roll bar service kit includes drop links, stabilizer bar bushes, mounting clamps, and bolts to help restore rear suspension control and reduce unwanted movement or knocking. This kit includes the key components commonly required when refreshing the rear stabilizer bar mounting and linkage system.

The rear stabilizer bar helps reduce body roll during cornering by linking suspension movement across the rear axle. The drop links connect the stabilizer bar to the suspension, while the bushes and clamps secure the bar to the chassis. Replacing these components together helps restore correct rear anti-roll bar operation and rear axle stability.
Functions
• Replaces rear stabilizer bar drop links
• Replaces rear stabilizer bar mounting bushes
• Includes stabilizer bar clamps and fixing bolts
• Helps secure the rear anti-roll bar correctly
• Supports stable rear suspension and handling response
• Helps reduce rear suspension knocking, looseness, and vibration
• OE Match repair kit for Porsche 996 Turbo rear stabilizer bar service.
Why Replace This Kit?
Rear stabilizer bar components are exposed to road dirt, moisture, suspension load, vibration, heat, and age. Drop link joints can wear or develop play, bushes can crack or compress, clamps can corrode, and bolts can seize or become damaged during removal. Worn components may cause rear suspension knocking, increased body roll, vague handling, uneven response, or failed inspection. Replacing the drop links, bushes, clamps, and bolts together helps restore a secure and balanced rear anti-roll bar assembly.
When to Replace This Kit
• Rear suspension knocking or clunking is present
• Rear drop links are worn, loose, noisy, or damaged
• Stabilizer bar bushes are cracked, split, compressed, or missing
• Clamps or bolts are corroded, seized, or damaged
• Rear anti-roll bar service or suspension refresh is being carried out
• Handling feels vague or body roll has increased
• The vehicle is undergoing Porsche 996 Turbo suspension restoration.
Where it fits on the car
This kit fits on the rear stabilizer bar / rear anti-roll bar assembly on Porsche 996 Turbo models. It services the rear bar link and mounting points across the rear axle.
