- Porsche 957 Cayenne Turbo / Turbo S 4.8L 2007-10
The Fabspeed Primary Link Competition Pipes are a high-flow exhaust upgrade developed specifically for the Porsche Cayenne 957 Turbo and Turbo S from 2008–2010.
Fits:
- Porsche 957 Cayenne Turbo / Turbo S 4.8L 2007-10
Designed for closed-course competition and off-road applications, these pipes replace the heavy and restrictive factory primary catalytic converters with a lightweight, straight-through exhaust path.
Removing the primary catalyst restriction allows exhaust gases from the turbocharged V8 engine to pass through the system more freely, helping reduce exhaust backpressure and improve throttle response while also producing a more aggressive exhaust character.
The pipes are manufactured from 14–16 gauge T304L stainless steel using CNC mandrel-bent tubing to maintain a smooth and consistent internal diameter throughout the exhaust path.
Fabspeed states that the system improves horsepower, torque and throttle response; however, the current product listing shows the specific horsepower and torque figures as TBD, so no fixed performance increase should be guaranteed.
What This Product Does:
The Primary Link Competition Pipes replace the original primary catalytic converter assemblies with freer-flowing straight-through exhaust sections.
They are designed to:
- Reduce exhaust restriction.
- Increase exhaust gas flow.
- Reduce backpressure after the turbochargers.
- Improve throttle response.
- Support increased horsepower and torque.
- Enhance turbocharged engine response.
- Produce a stronger and more aggressive exhaust note.
- Remove the restriction of the factory primary catalytic converters.
- Complement additional performance exhaust and engine modifications.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Straight-through competition pipes contain no catalyst core and therefore have fewer internal components that can fail.
However, they remain exposed to very high temperatures, vibration and road conditions.
Possible signs of deterioration include:
- Exhaust ticking.
- Blowing noises.
- Visible exhaust leaks.
- Black soot around joints.
- Cracked welds.
- Damaged flanges.
- Loose fasteners.
- Dented or crushed tubing.
- Corrosion around mounting areas.
- Damaged oxygen-sensor bungs.
- Metallic rattling.
- Increased exhaust fumes.
- Unexpected changes in exhaust sound.
- Excessive vibration.
Why Replacement Matters:
If an existing Competition Pipe becomes cracked, damaged or badly distorted, replacement helps restore:
- Proper exhaust sealing.
- Smooth exhaust flow.
- Correct pipe geometry.
- Secure sensor mounting.
- Structural integrity.
- Reduced risk of hot exhaust leakage.
- Consistent performance.
A damaged performance exhaust component can reduce the benefits of the free-flowing system and may expose surrounding parts to excessive heat.c
NOTE: In the United Kingdom, sports catalytic converters and bypass pipes do not have type approval and are not legally permitted for use on vehicles manufactured after 1st March 2001. They are not MOT compliant and cannot be used on public roads. These components are intended solely for race and track use.
For vehicles manufactured before 1st March 2001, a non-type approved sports catalytic converter may be fitted, provided it offers comparable performance to the original and the vehicle continues to meet the applicable emissions standards for its age. The vehicle must still pass an MOT test.
If you are located outside the UK, please check your local laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

This high-quality exhaust connecting sleeve joins the catalytic converter to the rear silencer on Porsche 996 and 997 models, offering a superior solution compared to the original Porsche part and many aftermarket alternatives.
Manufactured to tighter tolerances and improved material quality, this upgraded exhaust sleeve provides a more precise fit, improved sealing, and enhanced durability over time. Unlike the original OE sleeve – which can be prone to corrosion and fitment issues as the vehicle ages – this version is designed to deliver long-term reliability and ease of installation.
Crucially, this sleeve is engineered to fit both Porsche 996 and Porsche 997 applications, making it a more versatile and cost-effective option than other aftermarket versions that are often model-specific or require modification.
Direct replacement for Porsche part number 99711152000
Fits Porsche 996 and Porsche 997 models
Improved fit and sealing versus the original OE sleeve
Higher quality construction than typical aftermarket alternatives
Reduces the risk of exhaust leaks and future corrosion
Ideal for exhaust repairs, restorations, or upgrades
Price is per individual sleeve
Whether you are refreshing a tired exhaust system or carrying out a full overhaul, this exhaust sleeve offers a better-than-OEM solution trusted by Porsche specialists and enthusiasts alike.
