Engineered by Fabspeed Motorsport, these high-quality exhaust tips provide a stylish replacement for the factory Porsche tailpipe outlets, offering a more distinctive, motorsport-inspired appearance.
Manufactured using premium 304 stainless steel, the exhaust tips are available in a selection of finishes, including matte carbon fibre, polished stainless steel and brushed stainless steel. Each option is designed to complement the aggressive rear styling of Porsche's naturally aspirated 4.0L performance models.
The matte carbon fibre exhaust tips feature an intercooled construction designed to withstand the high temperatures generated by the exhaust system, combining a premium appearance with heat-resistant design.
Fabspeed also offers specialised turn-down exhaust tips designed to redirect exhaust gases towards the ground, reducing measured exhaust noise by over 3 dB according to the manufacturer. This makes them particularly useful for drivers attending track days at circuits with strict noise restrictions.
Designed as a direct replacement for the original Porsche exhaust tips, the Fabspeed Deluxe Exhaust Tips feature an adjustable OEM-style ring clamp for precise positioning and secure installation.
With straightforward slip-on, bolt-on fitment, these exhaust tips provide an attractive and practical upgrade without requiring replacement of the complete exhaust system.
What This Product Does:
The Fabspeed Deluxe Exhaust Tips are fitted at the rear outlet of the exhaust system, where they provide the final exit point for exhaust gases and enhance the appearance of the vehicle.
Although exhaust tips do not directly control engine combustion or provide the performance gains associated with a complete exhaust system, their design, construction and outlet orientation can influence exhaust gas direction and the sound measured around the vehicle.
Their main functions include:
- Enhancing vehicle appearance: Provide a more aggressive and distinctive rear exhaust finish compared with the original factory tips.
- Directing exhaust gases: Form the final outlet through which exhaust gases leave the vehicle.
- Providing premium styling options: Offer a choice of matte carbon fibre, polished stainless steel and brushed stainless steel finishes.
- Supporting durability: Stainless steel construction provides resistance to corrosion, heat and environmental exposure.
- Reducing exhaust noise with turn-down tips: The optional turn-down design redirects exhaust gases towards the ground, helping reduce externally measured exhaust noise.
- Maintaining secure installation: An adjustable OEM-style ring clamp allows accurate positioning and secure attachment.
- Allowing easy customisation: Enable owners to update the appearance of their exhaust without replacing the rear muffler assembly.
- Supporting track-day use: The turn-down configuration may help vehicles meet certain circuit noise limits, depending on the exhaust system and testing conditions.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Exhaust tips are exposed to high temperatures, moisture, road salt, carbon deposits and vibration. Over time, original exhaust tips may deteriorate or become damaged, affecting their appearance and mounting security.
Common signs that the factory exhaust tips may require replacement include:
- Corrosion or rust: Prolonged exposure to moisture and road contaminants can cause surface corrosion or deterioration.
- Discolouration: Repeated heating and cooling cycles may result in staining, heat marks or uneven changes in the surface finish.
- Excessive carbon deposits: Soot and exhaust residue can accumulate around the tailpipe outlets, making the tips difficult to clean.
- Scratches or surface damage: Minor impacts, cleaning damage or road debris may leave scratches, dents or damaged finishes.
- Loose exhaust tips: Worn or damaged clamps may allow the tips to move, rotate or become incorrectly positioned.
- Rattling noises: Loose mounting hardware or poor alignment may cause vibrations and metallic rattling.
- Cracked or damaged fittings: Impacts, vibration or deterioration may damage the retaining hardware or exhaust tip connections.
- Uneven exhaust tip alignment: Damaged clamps or distorted mounting components can cause the tips to sit unevenly within the rear bumper.
- Deteriorated appearance: Ageing, corrosion or damage may reduce the visual appeal of the rear exhaust outlets.
Why Replacement / Upgrading Matters:
Replacing the factory exhaust tips with Fabspeed Deluxe Exhaust Tips is an effective way to enhance the rear styling of the Porsche 718 while maintaining a secure, durable exhaust outlet.
Unlike a complete performance exhaust replacement, upgrading the exhaust tips provides a relatively straightforward modification that improves appearance without requiring extensive changes to the existing exhaust system.
For vehicles used on track, Fabspeed's optional turn-down configuration also offers a practical solution for reducing externally measured exhaust sound levels.
Upgrading to Fabspeed Deluxe Exhaust Tips offers several benefits:
- Enhanced rear styling: Give the Porsche 718 a more distinctive, premium and motorsport-inspired appearance.
- Choice of premium finishes: Select carbon fibre, polished stainless steel or brushed stainless steel to complement the vehicle's styling.
- High-quality construction: Benefit from 304 stainless steel designed for durability and corrosion resistance.
- Improved heat resistance: Intercooled carbon fibre tip construction is designed to tolerate demanding exhaust temperatures.
- Replacement for worn factory tips: Restore a clean and attractive exhaust appearance where original tips have become corroded or damaged.
- Secure and adjustable fitment: OEM-style clamping allows precise positioning and reliable mounting.
- Simple installation: Direct slip-on, bolt-on replacement avoids the need for cutting or welding.
- Optional noise reduction: Turn-down exhaust tips may reduce externally measured sound levels by over 3 dB, according to Fabspeed.
- Useful for track-day driving: Noise-reducing turn-down tips may help with compliance at noise-restricted circuits.
- Maintain the original exhaust system: Upgrade the tailpipe appearance without replacing the factory mufflers or catalytic converters.
- Premium aftermarket customisation: Provide a distinctive alternative to the standard Porsche tailpipe design.
For Porsche owners seeking improved styling, high-quality materials and straightforward installation, the Fabspeed Deluxe Exhaust Tips offer a practical and attractive upgrade.
