Engine tinware, Rear, without hole for air condition hose
This OE Match rear engine tinware is a replacement sheet metal engine panel used in the rear engine bay area. It is designed for vehicles that do not require the air conditioning hose opening, helping match the correct non-A/C style layout.
Fits:
Porsche 911 (not Turbo) 2.0L-3.0L 1969 - 1983
Diagram ref no 15
Engine tinware helps guide cooling air around the engine and separates hot exhaust-side air from the upper engine cooling area. Correctly fitted tinware is important for maintaining proper air-cooled engine temperature control and a clean engine bay finish.
Functions
• Replaces the rear engine tinware panel
• Without hole for air condition hose
• Helps direct engine cooling air correctly
• Supports separation of hot and cool engine bay air zones
• Helps restore correct engine bay appearance
• Suitable for engine bay repair, restoration, or conversion work
• OE Match replacement for Porsche 911 air-cooled engine tinware.
Why Replace This Part?
Engine tinware can become corroded, bent, cracked, missing, modified, or damaged due to age, heat, engine removal, previous repairs, or body restoration work. Missing or damaged tinware can affect cooling air control and reduce the original finish of the engine bay. Replacing the rear tinware helps restore correct cooling layout and factory-style presentation.
When to Replace This Part
• Rear engine tinware is rusty, bent, cracked, missing, or damaged
• Engine bay restoration is being carried out
• Engine removal or rebuild work is in progress
• Incorrect or modified tinware is fitted
• A rear panel without A/C hose opening is required
• Cooling air sealing or engine bay layout is being refreshed
• The vehicle is undergoing Porsche 911 restoration.
Where it fits on the car
This tinware fits at the rear engine bay / rear engine cover panel area on Porsche 911 models from 1969 to 1983. It forms part of the air-cooled engine cooling tin system.
