Information
Engine mount.
This OE Match engine mount is a hydraulic engine mounting component designed for Porsche 911 (996) models. Manufactured to match the original Porsche specifications, it provides secure engine support while reducing vibration transmitted to the chassis. This mount is a direct-fit replacement for the factory engine mount used in the 996 drivetrain system.
Sold individually, two are required per vehicle.
Fits:
Porsche 996 C2 / C4 3.4L 1997 - 08/2001
Porsche 996 C2 / C4 3.6L 09/2001 - 2005
Porsche 996 C4S 3.6L 09/2001- 2005
Diagram ref no 2.
This mount replicates the original Porsche design to ensure proper fitment, durability and vibration damping. It replaces earlier versions such as 99337504905 and 99337504906, offering improved reliability and performance.
The engine mount stabilizes the engine and limits excessive movement during acceleration, braking and cornering. By absorbing vibration and engine torque, it helps maintain smooth driving characteristics and reduces noise or vibration transmitted to the cabin.
Replacing worn mounts restores drivetrain stability and helps protect surrounding components such as the exhaust system, transmission and driveshaft.
Function
• Engine Support: Secures the engine to the chassis or engine cradle
• Vibration Isolation: Hydraulic mount design absorbs engine vibration
• Drivetrain Stability: Controls engine movement under load
• Noise Reduction: Minimizes vibration transmitted to the cabin
Engine mounts are subjected to constant vibration, engine torque and heat. Over time the rubber and hydraulic components can degrade, reducing their ability to absorb movement. This may result in increased cabin vibration, clunking noises during gear changes, or visible engine movement. Replacing worn mounts restores proper engine support and ensures stable drivetrain operation.
Consider replacing the engine mount if you notice:
• Excessive engine vibration inside the cabin
• Clunking or knocking during acceleration or gear changes
• Visible hydraulic fluid leakage from the mount
• Sagging exhaust or engine position changes

Information
Engine mount.
This Porsche Genuine OE Engine Mount (Part No. 99737504908) is a factory-engineered hydraulic engine mount designed to secure the engine assembly to the chassis of Porsche 911 (997) models. Manufactured to Porsche’s strict original equipment standards, this mount ensures the correct balance of structural support and vibration isolation required for Porsche’s high-performance flat-six engines.
Sold each, 2 required per vehicle.
Fits:
Porsche 997.1 Carrera 2005 - 2008 COUPE
Porsche 997.1 Turbo 2007 - 2009 COUPE
Porsche 997.2 Carrera 2009 - 2012 COUPE
Porsche 997.2 Turbo 2010 - 2013 COUPE without PADM (dynamic engine mounts)
Diagram Ref No 2.
This mount is supplied as a single unit (sold individually) and is suitable for both left and right sides of the engine mounting assembly. Two mounts are typically required per vehicle.
Old Porsche part numbers: 99737504904, 99737504906
The engine mount forms the connection between the engine block and the vehicle chassis. Its hydraulic internal structure absorbs engine vibrations while maintaining proper drivetrain alignment.
By controlling engine movement during acceleration, braking, and cornering, the mount helps maintain smooth engine operation, stable handling, and reduced vibration inside the cabin. Hydraulic mounts are specifically designed to dampen engine oscillations and road shock, contributing to the refined driving characteristics expected from a Porsche sports car.
Functions & Technical Role
• Engine support: Secures the engine assembly to the chassis structure
• Hydraulic vibration damping: Reduces noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH)
• Powertrain stability: Limits excessive engine movement during driving loads
• Alignment control: Maintains correct engine and transmission positioning
• OEM precision fit: Designed to Porsche factory geometry and mounting specifications
Fitment / Position on Car
• Fitting position: Engine mounting assembly
• Location: Between the engine bracket and rear subframe/chassis mount
• Orientation: Fits left or right side of the engine (two mounts per vehicle)
Engine mounts are subjected to constant stress from engine torque, heat, and vibration. Over time, the rubber and hydraulic elements can deteriorate, leading to:
• Increased engine vibration or noise in the cabin
• Excessive engine movement during acceleration
• Harsh drivetrain behaviour or reduced ride comfort
• Premature wear of surrounding drivetrain components
Replacing worn mounts with genuine Porsche OE components restores the original balance of comfort and performance designed for the 997 platform.

RSS Performance engine mounts (PAIR).
Fits:
Porsche 996 C2, C4, C4S, Turbo, GT2, GT3
Porsche 997 C2, C2s, C4, C4s, Turbo, GT2, GT3
With factory hydraulic engine mounts, the drive train will move independent of the chassis during acceleration and cornering loads. This movement can upset the balance of the vehicle and create negative handling effects.
RSS Tarmac Series Performance Engine Mounts minimise these effects by utilising specialised polyurethane bushings which offer a firmer, more direct driving feel with optimum feedback. This upgrade will not adversely effect ride quality or cause knock sensor issues commonly associated with solid engine mounts.

The Rennline Tune-able Engine Mount for the 964, 993, 996, and 997 offers the ultimate in adjust ability for your car. Replacing your compliant factory mounts will decrease engine movement resulting in better acceleration, handling and significantly increased shifter feel. This is the ultimate solution for almost any car, and allows you to tune our mounts for the way you drive. Our mounts are CNC machined from billet aluminium and include three pairs of inserts in varying densities. Tune your mounts by using the softer inserts to reduce engine slop and avoid missed shifts in your street car, or utilise the stiffest inserts to get the most from a more focused track car. You can even mix and match, giving you 9 possible combinations to let you dial in our mount to your specifications. Here at Rennline we know you want your Porsche to be flawless, and that is why we are Driven to Improve Excellence.
