Information
Engine mount
The engine mount secures the rear-mounted engine to the chassis/subframe and isolates engine vibration from the cabin and body structure. It helps to maintain proper engine position, dampens engine movement under load, and allows the engine to operate smoothly without transferring excessive vibration or torque shock to the chassis.
Fits:
Porsche 964 Carrera 2 1989 - 1993
Diagram ref no 7.
The engine mount securely supports the engine within the chassis while absorbing vibration and reducing noise transmitted into the cabin. It controls engine movement during acceleration, braking, and cornering, helping maintain correct drivetrain alignment. This ensures smooth gear changes, balanced handling, and overall driving refinement.
Engine mounts are exposed to constant heat cycles, engine torque, and road vibration. With age, the rubber elements can crack, harden, or delaminate, causing increased vibration, noise, or excessive engine movement.
Symptoms of a worn engine mount may include:
• Increased engine vibration felt in the cabin
• Clunking or banging during acceleration/deceleration
• Visible engine movement under load
• Premature wear of other drivetrain components
Replacing worn or deteriorated mounts helps restore factory-style vibration damping, supports consistent engine positioning, and improves overall driving comfort and component life.
Replace this engine mount if:
• Engine movement is noticeably excessive under load
• You hear thuds or clunks during acceleration or gear changes
• Mount shows visible cracks, splits, or deterioration
• There is elevated engine vibration in the cabin
• During engine or transmission overhaul

Information
Engine mount.
This Porsche Genuine OE Engine Mount (Part No. 99737504908) is a factory-engineered hydraulic engine mount designed to secure the engine assembly to the chassis of Porsche 911 (997) models. Manufactured to Porsche’s strict original equipment standards, this mount ensures the correct balance of structural support and vibration isolation required for Porsche’s high-performance flat-six engines.
Sold each, 2 required per vehicle.
Fits:
Porsche 997.1 Carrera 2005 - 2008 COUPE
Porsche 997.1 Turbo 2007 - 2009 COUPE
Porsche 997.2 Carrera 2009 - 2012 COUPE
Porsche 997.2 Turbo 2010 - 2013 COUPE without PADM (dynamic engine mounts)
Diagram Ref No 2.
This mount is supplied as a single unit (sold individually) and is suitable for both left and right sides of the engine mounting assembly. Two mounts are typically required per vehicle.
Old Porsche part numbers: 99737504904, 99737504906
The engine mount forms the connection between the engine block and the vehicle chassis. Its hydraulic internal structure absorbs engine vibrations while maintaining proper drivetrain alignment.
By controlling engine movement during acceleration, braking, and cornering, the mount helps maintain smooth engine operation, stable handling, and reduced vibration inside the cabin. Hydraulic mounts are specifically designed to dampen engine oscillations and road shock, contributing to the refined driving characteristics expected from a Porsche sports car.
Functions & Technical Role
• Engine support: Secures the engine assembly to the chassis structure
• Hydraulic vibration damping: Reduces noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH)
• Powertrain stability: Limits excessive engine movement during driving loads
• Alignment control: Maintains correct engine and transmission positioning
• OEM precision fit: Designed to Porsche factory geometry and mounting specifications
Fitment / Position on Car
• Fitting position: Engine mounting assembly
• Location: Between the engine bracket and rear subframe/chassis mount
• Orientation: Fits left or right side of the engine (two mounts per vehicle)
Engine mounts are subjected to constant stress from engine torque, heat, and vibration. Over time, the rubber and hydraulic elements can deteriorate, leading to:
• Increased engine vibration or noise in the cabin
• Excessive engine movement during acceleration
• Harsh drivetrain behaviour or reduced ride comfort
• Premature wear of surrounding drivetrain components
Replacing worn mounts with genuine Porsche OE components restores the original balance of comfort and performance designed for the 997 platform.

Rennline Solid Motor / Engine Mounts Pair. ALUMINIUM.
SET OF 2
Fits:
Porsche 964
Porsche 993
Porsche 996
Porsche 997
Solid engine mounts are a smart upgrade to any track or aggressive street car, and were installed on Porsche factory race cars. Stock mounts are made of compliant rubber, and contribute to imprecise shifting and inferior throttle response. Solid mounts create slightly more interior vibration than rubber mounts, but securely connect the engine and transmission assembly to the car's unibody, creating a crisper throttle response and shifter feel. Rennline's solid mounts are CNC machined from 6061 aluminum for strength and light weight, and come as a pair with new Grade 8 mounting hardware. Sold as a set of (2)

RSS Performance engine mounts (PAIR).
Fits:
Porsche 996 C2, C4, C4S, Turbo, GT2, GT3
Porsche 997 C2, C2s, C4, C4s, Turbo, GT2, GT3
With factory hydraulic engine mounts, the drive train will move independent of the chassis during acceleration and cornering loads. This movement can upset the balance of the vehicle and create negative handling effects.
RSS Tarmac Series Performance Engine Mounts minimise these effects by utilising specialised polyurethane bushings which offer a firmer, more direct driving feel with optimum feedback. This upgrade will not adversely effect ride quality or cause knock sensor issues commonly associated with solid engine mounts.
