What This Product Does
The plate closes a designated section of the engine duct assembly. Together with the surrounding panels and seals, it helps retain the intended air path around the air-cooled engine. Its role is functional rather than purely cosmetic.
Functions
- Closes the rear-right section of the relevant duct assembly.
- Helps limit airflow escaping through an uncovered opening.
- Completes the tinware layout during repair or restoration.
Technical Details
- Part reference: 91110603600; supplied brand: OE Match.
- Installation position: Rear Right; identified as /R/H and REARRIGHT in the supplied diagrams.
Symptoms of Fault
Inspect for rust perforation, cracks, distorted edges, loose-panel vibration or gaps around adjoining tinware. Unusual engine temperatures warrant investigation of the complete cooling arrangement rather than assuming this plate is responsible.
Why Replacement Matters
Renewing a missing or damaged plate helps reinstate the intended duct layout. During installation, inspect neighbouring panels, seals and mounting points so that existing damage does not compromise alignment.
FAQs
Is this simply an appearance panel?
No. It belongs to the engine airflow-control assembly.
What should be checked before fitting?
Compare the original reference, position and engine application, then inspect the fasteners, adjoining seals and clearance from nearby ducting.
