Drop link, Rear
These OE Match rear drop links are replacement anti-roll bar / stabiliser bar links for Porsche 928 models from 1978 to 1996. They are available for the left and right rear side positions and are sold individually, allowing the correct side to be replaced as required.
Left and right side versions available separately
Fits:
Porsche 928 1978 - 1996 all models
Diagram ref no 27
The rear drop link connects the rear anti-roll bar to the suspension assembly. It transfers movement between the suspension and anti-roll bar, helping reduce body roll during cornering and supporting stable handling. A good drop link is important for suspension control, steering feel, and rear axle stability.
Functions
• Connects the rear anti-roll bar to the suspension
• Helps reduce body roll during cornering
• Supports rear suspension stability and handling control
• Helps maintain correct anti-roll bar function
• Replaces worn, loose, bent, corroded, or damaged drop links
• Helps reduce knocking or rattling from the rear suspension
• OE Match replacement for suspension repair or restoration.
Why Replace This Part?
Drop links are exposed to road dirt, water, suspension load, corrosion, and constant movement. Over time, the joints or bushes can wear, loosen, seize, or fail. A worn rear drop link may cause knocking noises, poor handling, excessive body roll, uneven suspension response, or failed inspection. Replacing the drop link helps restore proper anti-roll bar operation and rear suspension control.
When to Replace This Part
• Knocking, rattling, or clunking is heard from the rear suspension
• The drop link joint or bush is worn, loose, or damaged
• The link is bent, rusty, seized, or broken
• Rear body roll feels excessive during cornering
• The anti-roll bar or rear suspension is being serviced
• The vehicle has failed inspection due to suspension play
• The car is undergoing Porsche 928 suspension restoration.
Where it fits on the car
These drop links fit on the rear suspension anti-roll bar assembly on Porsche 928 models. One version is used for the left rear side and the other for the right rear side.
