What This Product Does
Drop links provide the connection between the suspension and its anti-roll bars. They transmit suspension movement to the bars while accommodating movement at their joints. This kit groups the front and rear replacements for a combined suspension repair.
Functions
- Connect the suspension to each anti-roll bar.
- Transmit movement through the anti-roll bar connections.
- Allow worn links on both axles to be renewed together.
Technical Details
- Contents: two front links and two rear links.
- Application: Porsche 993 Carrera 2, also identified as C2, 1994–97.
Symptoms of Fault
- A rattle or knock when travelling across small bumps.
- Detectable looseness at a drop link joint.
- Damaged protective boots or corrosion around the links.
- Squeaking or unwanted movement from associated anti-roll bar bushes.
Similar noises can originate from suspension arms, damper mounts or bushes. Inspect these components before attributing a fault to the links alone.
Why Replacement Matters
Renewal addresses wear at the anti-roll bar connections and can resolve knocking where link play is the confirmed cause. Inspect adjoining bushes and fixings during the repair so that another worn component is not left untreated. OE Match focuses on Porsche replacement applications, with specification and vehicle compatibility forming part of its component assessment.
FAQs
Does the kit cover both axles?
Yes. Two links are included for the front and another two for the rear.
Should links on both sides be inspected?
Yes. Assess the left and right connections rather than checking only the side producing noise.
Are new fixings included?
The supplied contents identify the four links only. Confirm any additional fastener requirements before starting work.
What else should be checked?
Examine the anti-roll bar bushes, nearby suspension joints and damper mounts for looseness or deterioration.

Upgrade your stock front swaybar with this simple bolt in replacement for the factory drop links.
Left & right-hand threaded rod ends allow for simple length adjustment to eliminate swaybar preload. Correctly sized, precision, Teflon-lined rod-ends for smooth and quiet operation, long life, and high reliability.
Eliminates the factory compliant plastic drop link bushings that deflect under loading and quickly wear out. High misalignment, stainless steel spacers allow for superior bind free operation and corrosion resistance. Precisely connects the stock or adjustable swaybar to the front strut assembly for improved feedback and swaybar response.
Overall length is adjustable to accommodate either stock or adjustable swaybar requirements.
Now available, rod end boots to seal out dirt and moisture. Requires 4 each of L-Boots.
Note for C4 cars: Due to front axle restrictions, the drop links may not reach the stiffest settings on an adjustable front swaybar.
