The convex mirror glass provides a wider rear-side field of view from the right exterior mirror. On LHD vehicles, it helps the driver monitor traffic, blind-spot areas, and the side of the vehicle during lane changes, parking, reversing, and everyday driving.
Functions
• Replaces the right-side exterior door mirror glass

• Helps improve side and rear viewing range
• Supports safer lane changes, parking, and manoeuvring

• The reflective surface is cloudy, faded, or delaminating
• Visibility from the right mirror is poor or distorted
• The glass has become loose or detached from the backing plate
• The vehicle does not have Lane Change Assist and requires non-LCA mirror glass
• The door mirror has been damaged by accident or parking impact
• The vehicle is being repaired to original mirror specification

• Provides a wider side and rearward field of view through aspherical glass
• Helps reduce blind-spot areas when properly adjusted
• Supports the factory dimming / auto-dimming mirror function where fitted

Why Replace This Part?
Door mirror glass can become cracked, scratched, cloudy or damaged from impact, road debris, weather exposure or cleaning wear. Dimmable mirror glass can also fail internally, causing dark patches, staining, liquid marks or reduced visibility. Replacing damaged or failed glass with a Genuine Porsche OE aspherical dimmable mirror glass restores clear visibility, correct mirror function and the original Porsche exterior mirror appearance. It is important to choose the correct version for cars without Lane Change Assist, as mirror glass variants differ depending on vehicle equipment.
When to Replace This Part
• If the left mirror glass is cracked or broken
• If the glass is scratched, cloudy or discoloured
• If the auto-dimming function has failed
• If the mirror has dark patches, staining or liquid marks
• If visibility through the mirror is poor
• After impact damage to the exterior mirror
• During door mirror housing repair or replacement
• When replacing incorrect mirror glass on a car without Lane Change Assist
• When restoring the vehicle with correct OE Porsche parts.
Where It Fits on the Car
This mirror glass fits in the left-hand exterior door mirror assembly. It installs into the mirror carrier inside the exterior door mirror housing and connects to the relevant dimming/heating terminals where fitted. This version is intended for vehicles without Lane Change Assist, so it does not include the Lane Change Assist indicator specification.
