Diagram ref no 5
This front coil spring supports the vehicle’s weight and helps control body movement by storing and releasing energy as the suspension travels. It works in concert with shock absorbers and other suspension components to deliver stable handling, responsive steering, and a balanced ride quality characteristic of Porsche vehicles.
Installed between the lower control arm and the front strut or shock assembly, the coil spring compresses and extends as the wheel moves over road surfaces. It absorbs vertical motion, helps maintain tire contact with the road, and contributes to overall vehicle stability, comfort, and performance.
Replace this part if you experience any of the following:
• Uneven or sagging front ride height
• Excessive body roll or unstable handling
• Cracks, corrosion, or visible spring fatigue
• Suspension overhaul, shock absorber replacement, or alignment work
• After significant mileage or heavy track/road use
