CFRP Construction
CFRP, or Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic, combines carbon fibre reinforcement with a composite resin structure.
This type of construction is widely used in motorsport and performance vehicle applications because it can provide:
- Reduced weight compared with conventional steel panels
- High rigidity
- Excellent strength-to-weight ratio
- Corrosion resistance
- Distinctive exposed carbon appearance.
For Porsche 964 performance and restomod builds, replacing heavier exterior panels with CFRP components can also contribute to overall vehicle weight reduction.
Turbo-Look Styling
Turbo-Look Styling
The panel is designed to give the rear of the Porsche 964 a more purposeful Turbo-inspired appearance.
Its shape incorporates the large upper ventilation opening required for the rear engine compartment while providing a suitable base for compatible grille and spoiler arrangements.
This makes it particularly suitable for:
- 964 Turbo-look conversions
- Lightweight Porsche builds
- Track-focused cars
- Restomod projects
- Motorsport-inspired road cars
- Replacement of damaged or corroded original panels.
Installation Note
Composite body panels can require professional trial fitting and finishing before final installation.
We recommend test-fitting the panel before painting, clear coating or carrying out final assembly.
Professional installation by a bodyshop familiar with Porsche and composite panels is recommended.
