Why these should be replaced:
Flexible rubber brake hoses age with heat, road grime and brake fluid exposure — they can dry-rot, crack, bulge or leak, creating an immediate safety hazard. Even without visible leaks, inner-liner deterioration or partial collapse can cause a soft/spongy pedal and uneven braking. Replacing old hoses with correct-fit OE hoses restores reliable pedal feel and prevents catastrophic fluid loss.
Common issues & failure modes:
- External cracking / dry rot from UV, heat and age — visible on inspection.
- Fluid leaks at hose body or end fittings due to perished rubber or corroded threads.
- Internal liner collapse (not visible) — causes restricted flow, delayed pressure build and a soft brake pedal.
- Mounting damage / chafing where the hose rubs against suspension parts — can wear through the outer cover and cause sudden failure. The OEM-style support/grommet helps prevent this.

The OE Match Rear Brake Caliper Hose is a premium-quality replacement flexible brake hose designed to deliver hydraulic brake fluid from the rigid brake line to the rear brake caliper on compatible Porsche models. Manufactured to OE specifications for fit, pressure resistance and durability, this brake hose ensures consistent hydraulic pressure is transferred to the rear braking system, providing safe, responsive and reliable braking performance.
Fits:
- Porsche 993 (911) C2 1994-97
- Porsche 993 (911) C4 1994-97

Constructed from high-strength, multi-layer reinforced rubber with corrosion-resistant OE-style metal end fittings, the hose is engineered to withstand extreme hydraulic pressures, repeated flexing, road debris, moisture and temperature fluctuations. Precision-manufactured for direct OE-style fitment, it provides a secure, leak-free connection while allowing unrestricted suspension and wheel movement.
What This Product Does:
- Transfers hydraulic brake fluid to the rear brake caliper.
- Maintains consistent hydraulic braking pressure.
- Allows suspension and steering movement without stressing the brake line.
- Provides a secure, leak-free hydraulic connection.
- Supports smooth, responsive braking performance.
- Withstands high brake system pressures and temperatures.
- Helps maintain balanced rear braking performance.
- Forms an essential part of the vehicle's hydraulic braking system.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Brake fluid leaks around the hose or fittings.
- Soft or spongy brake pedal.
- Cracked, split or perished rubber hose.
- Bulging hose when brake pressure is applied.
- Corroded or damaged metal fittings.
- Reduced rear braking performance.
- Brake warning light caused by low brake fluid.
- Brake caliper sticking due to internal hose collapse.
- Uneven brake pad wear.
- MOT or vehicle inspection failure due to deteriorated brake hose condition.
Why Replacement Matters:
- Brake hoses are subjected to constant hydraulic pressure, repeated suspension movement, high braking temperatures and continuous exposure to road salt, moisture and debris. Over time, the rubber hose can deteriorate internally and externally, while corrosion may affect the metal fittings, increasing the risk of fluid leaks or restricted brake fluid flow.
- A failing brake hose can reduce braking performance, create an inconsistent brake pedal feel and, in severe cases, lead to partial or complete hydraulic brake failure. An internally collapsed hose may also prevent brake fluid from returning correctly, causing the rear brake caliper to bind and accelerating brake pad and disc wear.
- Replacing a worn or damaged rear brake caliper hose restores safe, consistent hydraulic pressure and reliable braking performance. The OE Match replacement provides factory-style fitment, premium-quality reinforced construction and long-lasting durability, helping maintain the braking performance, safety and reliability expected from your Porsche.

DOT 4
Having an extremely high boiling point and lower viscosity than required, it meets and greatly exceeds regulatory standards. Also suitable for vehicles with ABS.
Vapour Lock formation
This sort of habit leaves room for the Vapour Lock, the formation of vapour bubbles due to boiling of the brake fluid that replace the normal fluid and are compressed, thereby sending the brake pedal to its fill stoke (spongy pedal). The origin is incident in the porosity of the tubes that make up the braking circuit, which in time draw moisture into the fluid, drastically reducing the boiling point. The result is a reduced braking efficiency.
Brembo Premium Brake Fluid
Brembo Premium brake fluids have a higher boiling point that exceeds the standard, thus offering superior resistance to the Vapour Lock and ensuring braking efficiency even at low temperatures. With high anti-corrosion properties and resistance to oxidation, Brembo brake fluid also allows for long-term unaltered chemical/physical characteristics of the fluid in operating circuit; therefore, preserving its integrity.
