Advanced Carbon Ceramic Technology
At the heart of this braking system are the latest generation 9m carbon ceramic discs, manufactured using long-strand carbon fibre reinforced with silicon carbide. This sophisticated construction delivers extraordinary strength, exceptional wear resistance and industry-leading thermal stability.
Unlike conventional cast iron brake discs, carbon ceramic rotors are capable of maintaining outstanding braking performance even under repeated high-speed stops, making them ideal for spirited road driving, track days and endurance use.
Precision Floating Disc Design
Each rotor features a lightweight two-piece floating design, incorporating centre bells CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminium.
The billet bells are:
- Precision CNC machined.
- Hard anodised for corrosion resistance.
- Exceptionally strong and rigid.
- Lightweight to reduce rotational mass.
- Designed to accommodate thermal expansion during extreme braking.
This floating construction improves braking consistency while reducing stress throughout the braking system.
Why Upgrade to Carbon Ceramic Brakes?
Carbon ceramic braking technology offers significant advantages over traditional cast iron brake systems.
Benefits include:
- Approximately
16kg reduction in unsprung weight compared with cast iron discs.
- Sharper steering response.
- Improved suspension performance.
- Faster vehicle direction changes.
- Increased acceleration due to reduced rotating mass.
- Enhanced ride quality. Improved overall vehicle dynamics.
Reducing unsprung weight allows the suspension to react more effectively to road surfaces, improving grip, handling and driver confidence.
Exceptional Heat Resistance
During repeated heavy braking, conventional steel discs gradually lose efficiency as temperatures increase.
The Ninemeister Carbon Ceramic system is engineered to
withstand:
- High-speed road driving.
- Mountain roads. Fast road touring.
- Repeated track sessions.
- Extreme braking temperatures.
- Sustained high-performance driving.
The carbon ceramic construction delivers outstanding thermal stability, allowing the braking system to provide consistent stopping power without fade, even under the harshest conditions.
Outstanding Durability
One of the greatest advantages of carbon ceramic technology is longevity.
When properly maintained, the discs offer:
- Exceptional wear resistance.
- Outstanding corrosion resistance.
- Potential service life measured in hundreds of thousands of miles under normal road use.
- Reduced maintenance requirements.
- Long-term ownership value.
This makes carbon ceramic brakes an investment that continues to deliver performance throughout the life of the vehicle.
Benefits
Installing the Ninemeister 9m Carbon Ceramic Big Brake Kit
provides:
- Dramatically improved braking performance.
- Superior pedal feel.
- Outstanding resistance to brake fade.
- Faster heat dissipation.
- Significant reduction in unsprung mass.
- Sharper handling characteristics.
- Improved suspension response.
- Reduced rotational inertia.
- Cleaner wheels.
- Exceptional durability.
