The OE Match Brake Line Kit is a complete 8-piece rigid hydraulic brake pipe set for selected Porsche 356 C 1.6 models with a single-circuit braking system.

Designed for left-hand-drive vehicles, the kit replaces the ageing steel brake pipes that carry hydraulic brake fluid between the master cylinder and the wheel braking components.
The set also includes two steel caliper bridge pipes, making it a comprehensive replacement package for the rigid brake pipework used on the 356 C braking system. Selected sections incorporate close-fitting vinyl protection to help reduce damage from stones, debris and road contamination.
What This Product Does:
The rigid brake lines carry pressurised brake fluid through the braking system.
When the driver presses the brake pedal:
- The master cylinder creates hydraulic pressure
- Brake fluid is forced through the rigid lines
- Pressure is transmitted to the wheel braking components
- The brakes apply and slow the vehicle
The brake lines therefore form the fixed hydraulic network connecting the master cylinder with the front and rear braking assemblies.
Their primary functions include:
- Carrying brake fluid under pressure
- Transferring hydraulic braking force
- Maintaining a sealed braking circuit
- Connecting the master cylinder to the wheel brakes
- Supporting consistent brake operation
- Providing rigid connections between flexible hose sections and calipers
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Common signs that rigid brake pipes may require replacement include:
- Surface corrosion
- Heavy rust
- Deep pitting
- Flaking metal
- Brake-fluid leakage
