OE Match, brand-new rear “M-type” brake caliper made to match original fitment and braking performance on classic Porsche 911 models from 1969–1983. It’s sold outright (no exchange/surcharge required).
Built to OE-matching dimensions and specifications, it restores proper pad clamping and consistent braking feel when your original caliper is sticking, leaking, corroded, or worn internally. Supplied as a new unit, it avoids the downtime and core-return hassle of exchange calipers.
It converts hydraulic brake pressure into mechanical clamping force, pressing the pads onto the rotor to slow and stop the vehicle. A healthy caliper helps deliver even pad wear, stable braking response, and predictable pedal feel - especially important on older cars where original calipers may suffer from age-related corrosion and seal deterioration.
Function:
• Hydraulic-to-mechanical braking: Uses piston movement to clamp pads against the disc.
• Braking balance & stability: Supports even braking on the rear axle for controlled stops.
• Service-friendly replacement: New caliper unit simplifies restoration/maintenance without needing a core return.
A tired caliper can cause pulling under braking, uneven pad wear, overheating, leaks, or a soft/inconsistent pedal. Replacing the caliper helps restore safe, consistent braking performance and protects rotors and pads from damage caused by sticking pistons or uneven clamping.
When to replace :
• Brake fluid leak around the caliper/piston area
• Caliper sticking (wheel running hot, dragging brakes)
