Diagram Ref No 20
The BOSCH bleeder valve is engineered to maintain correct vacuum levels, support proper crankcase ventilation, and optimise engine performance. It plays a vital role in reducing emissions, preventing excessive pressure build-up, and ensuring smooth engine operation under varying load conditions.
What This Product Does:
- Regulates vacuum pressure within the intake manifold system
- Supports proper crankcase ventilation operation
- Controls airflow between engine ventilation circuits and the intake system
- Helps maintain stable idle and engine performance
- Reduces harmful emissions by managing crankcase gases
- Supports efficient combustion and engine management system operation
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
- Rough or unstable idle
- Check engine light illumination
- Vacuum leaks and hissing noises from the engine bay
- Increased oil consumption
- Poor engine performance or hesitation
- Engine misfires Excessive crankcase pressure
- Fault codes relating to air leaks, fuel trim, or crankcase ventilation systems
Why Replacement Matters:
- Restores proper intake manifold vacuum regulation
- Ensures efficient crankcase ventilation system operation
- Improves idle quality and engine smoothness
- Helps reduce emissions and maintain fuel efficiency
- Prevents excessive crankcase pressure build-up
- Reduces the likelihood of vacuum leaks and engine management faults
- Protects seals and gaskets from pressure-related damage
- Maintains reliable engine performance and long-term engine health
