Symptoms of Suspension Shock Absorber Mount Failure
Clunking or Banging Noises:
A worn or damaged shock mount may produce clunking, knocking, or banging
sounds, particularly when driving over bumps, potholes, or uneven surfaces.
These noises occur because the shock absorber is no longer firmly secured,
allowing excessive movement or rattling.
Increased Body Roll or Bouncing:
When a shock mount begins to fail, it can reduce the effectiveness of the shock
absorber. This may result in excessive body roll during cornering or increased
bouncing when traveling over bumps, negatively affecting ride comfort and
vehicle stability.
