AP Racing Front Big Brake Kit by Ninemeister – Not for PCCB
Upgrade your Porsche 987 braking performance
with this complete front AP Racing brake kit developed by Ninemeister. Designed
for 2005–2011 Boxster S and Cayman S models fitted with standard iron brakes,
this package delivers stronger stopping power, improved heat management and
consistent pedal feel during repeated heavy braking.
Fits:
- Porsche Boxster 987 S 3.2/3.4L 2005-08/08
- Porsche Boxster S 987 MKII 3.4L 2009-12
- Porsche Cayman S 3.4L 987C 2005-08
- Porsche Cayman S / R 3.4L 987C MKII 2009-12
Important fitment note: This kit does not fit PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake) cars.
What This Front Brake Kit Does
A big brake kit improves braking performance by increasing caliper clamping stability and disc thermal capacity. This helps:
• Reduce brake fade during fast road driving
and track sessions
• Improve pedal consistency under repeated braking
• Increase resistance to overheating and heat soak
• Enhance confidence with stronger, repeatable stopping power
This kit is engineered as a complete front upgrade while maintaining correct compatibility with the OEM master cylinder and ABS system.
Key Features
AP Racing six piston calipers
Multi-piston calipers provide increased pad control and improved braking
stability, especially under hard use.
355x32mm AP Racing discs with 72 vane design
Large diameter and high-efficiency venting improve cooling and heat dissipation
for extended track sessions.
Goodridge brake line kit included
Braided lines help maintain firm pedal feel by reducing line expansion under
pressure.
Reduced unsprung mass
Saves approximately 2kg of unsprung weight compared with OEM 987 S front
brakes, improving suspension response and steering feel.
Track-focused heat resistance
Every component is chosen to cope with high temperatures generated during
extended circuit driving.
OEM system integration
Pistons are sized correctly to work seamlessly with the factory master cylinder
and ABS calibration for predictable braking behaviour.
Rear brake compatibility
Designed to work with OEM rear brakes. For a balanced upgrade path, it is
commonly recommended to move the OEM front calipers to the rear (where
applicable) when upgrading the front.
Why You May Want to Upgrade
If you drive your 987 hard on the road, run fast mountain routes, or do regular track days, the factory S brakes can struggle with heat build-up and fade. This AP Racing by Ninemeister kit is built to deliver:
• Stronger initial bite and repeatable braking
• Better cooling for longer sessions
• Improved pedal confidence under heavy braking
• Reduced fade and more consistent performance lap after lap
