- Porsche 991.2 GT2 RS 3.8L PDK (700 bhp) 2018-19
Fits:
Porsche 991 GT2 RS
The new IPD Y-Pipe delivers the same amazing proven performance as with the previous generation Turbo. Porsche made very few changes to the intake system from the 991 Turbo to the 991.2 Turbo. Ballistic acceleration and a top speed of over 200 mph places the new Turbo in a very elite class of supercars. But of course the IPD Y-Pipe (and Plenum) raise the performance bar even higher for Porsche driving enthusiasts who seek fighter jet performance from their German Turbo missiles.
IPD invested countless hours of R & D with a variety of unique design features and multiple prototype tests before settling on an optimum design that significantly improves engine performance for both stock and highly modified 991 Turbos. Our innovative Y-Pipe design is not only larger but also utilizes "non-round" runners, an optimized merge collector area and our proven dimpled interior surfacing. This superior design delivers greater volume of air, improved laminar flow and increased air velocity. These improvements deliver an additional 40+ wheel HP, 50+ Foot Pounds of Torque, improved boost response and more linear power and torque curves.
As we all know, bigger is not always better when it comes to forced induction applications. The IPD Y-Pipe is considerably larger than the factory but not so large as to cause pressure drop within the intake tract resulting in turbo lag and reduced performance. This optimized "non-round" design with dimpled interior surface cannot be achieved with conventional round tube construction.
The Y-Pipe is a direct bolt-on engine upgrade that requires no modifications but should be perform by an experienced Porsche technician familiar with the 991 platform. Y-Pipes comes with all the required hardware necessary to complete the installation.

The DFI Porsche engine package is a finely tuned performance machine and additional power has proved difficult to find. The unique design of Porsche's new DFI intake system posed very challenging tuning hurdles but once again IPD developed a design that out performs the factory intake system without compromising reliability and drive-ability.
This innovative and revolutionary IPD DFI Intake Plenum employs the patented "Y" design as well as an enlarged plenum area that allows for improved intake air speed and velocity resulting in performance increases without any loses in power.
The all new specifically designed IPD 3.6L DFI intake Plenum is a direct bolt-on upgrade that replaces the factory air distributor and utilizes all pre-existing factory hardware including the OE factory throttle body.
The improved IPD intake design creates increased air velocity and air speed resulting in impressive power and torque gains for Porsche driving enthusiast.
The superior design of the DFI IPD Plenum provides an additional 14 horsepower at the wheels. Unlike previous naturally aspirated IPD plenums that delivered stronger gains in the mid range, the new IPD DFI Plenums deliver a similar shaped power curve as the factory but are considerably stronger from the mid range to redline without any power loses down low.
Installation of the new IPD 3.6L DFI Plenum is relatively straight forward and can be installed by mechanically inclined DIY customers although IPD strongly recommends installation be performed by a trained and qualified Porsche technician.

Application Notes
Not for GT3 RS
Confirm the exact installation before selecting this part for any GT3 RS. Other Porsche installations may be suitable where an oversized 82mm IPD plenum is fitted; upgrade applications require a compatible competition plenum.
Check fitment for your specific vehicle (model, year, engine) before ordering.
What This Product Does
The throttle body meters incoming engine air according to accelerator demand. Its internal butterfly opens or closes to vary the passage through the intake, working with the engine-management system to control airflow.
Functions
- Regulates air entering the intake manifold.
- Varies the intake opening as throttle demand changes.
- Provides the 82mm throttle connection required by a compatible intake installation.
Technical Details
- Brand: OE Match. Supplied reference: 99760511601.
- Throttle diameter: 82mm.
Symptoms of Fault
Possible reasons for inspection include an unstable or elevated idle, stalling, hesitation, sticking throttle movement, delayed response, throttle-position faults or reduced-power operation. Intake leaks and electrical connection problems can produce similar symptoms, so diagnosis should precede replacement.
Why Replacement Matters
Deposits, spindle wear or control faults can interfere with consistent airflow regulation. Replacement may be appropriate when testing confirms damage or malfunction that cleaning cannot resolve. Inspect adjoining seals, intake connections and wiring at the same time, and follow the vehicle-specific adaptation procedure where required.
FAQs
Can cleaning resolve the problem?
Cleaning may help when contamination is responsible. It will not repair worn mechanical parts or failed electrical components.
Will it fit every listed vehicle without other changes?
No. Some applications require a matching 82mm competition plenum. Check the existing intake arrangement and connection details.
Is adaptation needed after installation?
Some electronic throttle systems require a relearning procedure. Follow the instructions for the exact vehicle and engine.
