Information
Air Con compressor - for Refrigerant R134a system (option code: KK1)
Genuine Porsche Original Equipment (OE) air conditioning compressor, engineered for use in Cayenne 9YA V6 petrol models. Designed for R134a refrigerant systems, it installs directly in the original mounting position and interfaces seamlessly with factory refrigerant lines, drive systems, and climate control electronics.
Fits:
For cars with Refrigerant R134a (option code: KK1)
Porsche 9YA.1 Cayenne S 2.9L V6 2018 - 2023 (PR: TV8)
Porsche 9YA.1 Cayenne 3.0L V6 2018 - 2023 (PR: T9I)
* not for Hybrid models
Diagram ref no 2
The compressor pressurises and circulates refrigerant through the air-conditioning system, enabling effective heat exchange and consistent cabin cooling. It ensures rapid temperature reduction, stable climate control operation, and optimal comfort for all occupants, even under high ambient temperatures.
This component draws in low-pressure refrigerant gas, compresses it to high pressure, and sends it to the condenser where heat is dissipated. Working in coordination with the condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator, it forms the core of the Cayenne’s HVAC system, supporting efficient cooling, defrosting, and interior climate regulation.
A failing A/C compressor can lead to reduced cooling performance, excessive noise, or complete loss of air conditioning. Using a Genuine Porsche replacement ensures correct system pressures, long service life, and full compatibility with factory components. OE parts help preserve vehicle reliability, comfort, and long-term value.
When to replace:
• Warm or inconsistent air from the A/C vents
• Noisy operation from the compressor area
• Compressor clutch doesn’t engage
• Visible leaks at seals or refrigerant ports
• During A/C system servicing, recharges, or overhauls.
