fitted with the threaded lower connection used by regulators 944 110 198 05,
944 110 198 06, Bosch 0 280 160 286 or Bosch 0 280 160 287. Installation
requires conversion of the threaded return line to a plain hose and suitable
hose clip.
Check fitment for your specific vehicle (model, year, engine) before ordering. Regulators and hoses may have been changed during earlier repairs, so compare the connection type with the component currently fitted.
What This Product Does
The regulator controls fuel pressure within the injection system. Its adjustable design allows the required operating pressure to be set for the applicable factory system or a compatible tuned installation.

Symptoms of Fault
- Fuel leakage around the original regulator
- Running problems caused by regulator failure
- Difficulty obtaining the required fuel pressure during engine tuning
Why Replacement Matters
Many original regulators fitted to these models are now several decades old and may leak or cease to regulate correctly. Replacement restores an adjustable pressure-control point while retaining a direct connection to the applicable factory fuel rail. Final pressure must be measured and set after installation to match the vehicle and engine specification.

No. It must be measured and adjusted on the vehicle after installation. - What equipment is needed for setup?
A suitable fuel-pressure gauge and fittings for connection to the factory fuel rail are required. - Can it be used with a Bosch 044 fuel pump?
Adapt Motorsport has tested the regulator with Bosch 044 pumps, although the upper fuel-flow limit has not been determined. - Will it replace every 944 Turbo regulator?
No. Later M44.52 installations with a threaded lower regulator port require modification of the return-line connection.
