OE Match accelerator cable, 850mm, for Porsche 356 B-T5 models from 1960 to 1965. This replacement throttle cable comes with an extra-long inner cable and CNC machined construction, helping restore smooth accelerator pedal operation and accurate throttle response.
Fits:
Porsche 356 B-T5 1960- 1965
Diagram ref no 75
The accelerator cable connects the accelerator pedal linkage to the throttle mechanism, transferring pedal movement into throttle input. A correctly operating cable helps provide smooth pedal travel, responsive acceleration, and reliable throttle control.
Functions
• Replaces the accelerator cable 850mm cable length
• Supplied with extra-long inner cable
• CNC machined construction
• Transfers accelerator pedal movement to the throttle linkage
• Helps restore smooth and accurate throttle response
• Suitable for throttle linkage service, engine tuning, or restoration
• OE Match replacement for Porsche 356 B-T5 accelerator system repair.
Why Replace This Part?
Accelerator cables can stretch, fray, corrode, bind, seize, or become worn due to age, moisture, repeated use, and cable housing deterioration. A worn cable may cause stiff pedal feel, delayed throttle response, sticking, uneven acceleration, or difficulty achieving correct throttle adjustment. Replacing the cable helps restore reliable accelerator operation and safer throttle control.
When to Replace This Part
• Accelerator pedal feels stiff, rough, or inconsistent
• Throttle response is delayed or uneven
• Cable is frayed, stretched, corroded, or damaged
• Pedal does not return smoothly
• Throttle linkage adjustment is difficult
• Engine or carburettor tuning work is being carried out
• Vehicle is undergoing Porsche 356 restoration or maintenance.
