L'unità di accensione Classic Retrofit CDI+ a 8 pin è la nostra sostituzione diretta per le centraline di accensione Bosch CDI utilizzate in molte auto da corsa Porsche classiche, tra cui la 911 RSR, 934, 935, 917 e 962. Era montata anche sulle prime 930/911 Turbo da 3 litri e su altre auto da corsa dell'epoca, tra cui la BMW CSL.
Installata in una scatola CDI replica, questa unità è un meraviglioso upgrade per le auto da corsa d'epoca in cui originalità e affidabilità sono altrettanto importanti. È stata collaudata su molti veicoli, tra cui diversi vincitori di Le Mans ancora in circolazione.
L'unità CDI+ Classic Retrofit a 8 pin non richiede modifiche al cablaggio originale o alla carpenteria metallica ed è "plug and play". I limitatori di giri soft e hard possono essere programmati tramite un computer portatile. Tutte le unità CDI+ sono dotate di un microprocessore a 48 MHz integrato per il controllo della fasatura dell'accensione.
È un fatto poco noto che le centraline CDI a 8 pin offrono una migliore regolazione della tensione di uscita rispetto alle unità a 3 e 6 pin. Il nostro sistema elettronico riprogettato aggiorna il concetto originale di regolazione della tensione, non solo fornendo un'uscita regolata ancora migliore su tutte le nostre centraline CDI, ma anche offrendo una vera e propria doppia scintilla con un intervallo di 400 µs che fa davvero la differenza nella combustione, fino a 10.000 giri/min.
