Fabspeed Exhaust Performance Package, Single Outlet WITHOUT DME Upgrade.
The Fabspeed Porsche 964 Carrera Performance Package is a comprehensive high-performance exhaust and intake upgrade designed to enhance the power, throttle response, exhaust sound and overall driving experience of the Porsche 911 Carrera 964.
Fits:
- Porsche 964 (911) C2 1989-94
- Porsche 964 (911) C4 1989-94
Developed specifically for the naturally aspirated, air-cooled 3.6-litre flat-six engine, this performance package combines Fabspeed's Maxflo Performance Muffler, European Pre-Muffler Cat Bypass Pipe, CUP High Performance Airbox and BMC Performance Air Filter.
By improving exhaust gas flow and increasing intake efficiency, the package helps the engine breathe more freely, reducing restrictions associated with the original factory components.
By improving exhaust gas flow and increasing intake efficiency, the package helps the engine breathe more freely, reducing restrictions associated with the original factory components.
Manufactured using high-quality T304 stainless steel exhaust components, the package offers excellent corrosion resistance, durability and performance under demanding operating conditions.
What This Product Does:
The Fabspeed Porsche 964 Carrera Performance Package is designed to improve the efficiency of the engine's intake and exhaust systems, helping unlock additional performance from the naturally aspirated flat-six engine.
Its key functions include:
- Increased Horsepower and Torque: Reduces intake and exhaust restrictions to improve engine breathing and power delivery.
- Improved Exhaust Gas Flow: The Maxflo Performance Muffler and European Pre-Muffler Cat Bypass Pipe provide a less restrictive exhaust path.
- Enhanced Throttle Response: Improved airflow can help the engine respond more quickly to accelerator inputs.
- Sportier Exhaust Sound: Produces a deeper, more aggressive exhaust note that complements the character of the air-cooled flat-six engine.
- Improved Intake Airflow: The CUP High Performance Airbox allows air to enter the intake system more freely.
- High-Performance Air Filtration: The BMC Performance Air Filter provides efficient filtration while supporting increased airflow.
- Reduced Exhaust Weight: Performance-oriented stainless steel exhaust components can reduce weight compared with the original system.
- Corrosion Resistance: Stainless steel construction provides improved resistance to rust and deterioration.
Symptoms Of Wear Or Failure:
Although this package is primarily a performance upgrade rather than a direct repair for a single failed component, deterioration of the original exhaust and intake system may indicate that replacement or upgrading is beneficial.
Common signs include:
- Reduced Engine Performance: Restricted airflow, deteriorated exhaust components or other engine faults may contribute to reduced power and acceleration.
- Sluggish Throttle Response: Intake or exhaust restrictions may contribute to less responsive engine behaviour.
- Corroded Exhaust Components: Age, moisture and road salt can cause corrosion on original exhaust pipes and mufflers.
- Exhaust Leaks: Cracked exhaust components, failed welds or deteriorated joints can allow exhaust gases to escape.
- Excessive Exhaust Noise or Rattling: Internal muffler deterioration, loose components or damaged exhaust mountings may produce unwanted metallic noises.
- Damaged or Deteriorated Muffler: Rust, cracking or internal failure can affect exhaust sound and operation.
- Restricted Air Filter: A dirty or clogged air filter may reduce intake airflow and negatively affect engine performance.
- Damaged Airbox Components: Cracked or poorly sealing intake components may allow unwanted air or contaminants into the intake system.
- Ageing Exhaust Hardware: Corroded mounting brackets, bolts and connections may compromise the security of the exhaust assembly.
- Poor Engine Breathing: Excessive intake or exhaust restriction can limit performance, particularly at higher engine speeds.
Why Replacement / Upgrading Matters:
- Upgrading the original exhaust and intake system with the Fabspeed Porsche 964 Carrera Performance Package provides an opportunity to enhance engine performance, improve the driving experience and replace ageing factory components.
- The Porsche 964's naturally aspirated 3.6-litre flat-six engine responds to efficient airflow. Restrictive exhaust components can limit the rate at which exhaust gases leave the engine, while intake restrictions may reduce the amount of air available for combustion.
- By combining a performance muffler, European pre-muffler bypass pipe, upgraded airbox and high-flow air filter, the Fabspeed package is designed to improve the overall efficiency of the intake and exhaust systems.
- The result can be stronger acceleration, more responsive power delivery and a sportier exhaust character.
- Replacing ageing original exhaust components with stainless steel alternatives can also help address corrosion-related deterioration and provide greater resistance to environmental exposure.
- The Maxflo Performance Muffler enhances the distinctive sound of the air-cooled Porsche engine, offering a more engaging driving experience for enthusiasts who appreciate a performance-oriented exhaust note.
- For Porsche 964 owners undertaking performance modifications, track preparation or restoration projects, this package offers an integrated approach to upgrading multiple components within the same installation.
- The Fabspeed Porsche 964 Carrera Performance Package combines performance engineering, durable materials and vehicle-specific design to deliver a comprehensive intake and exhaust upgrade for the classic Porsche 911.
