Diagram ref no 4, 5, 7 and the bushings marked in green
The gearbox mount supports the transmission and controls drivetrain movement under acceleration, braking, cornering, and gear changes. The Heavy Duty bushing provides increased resistance to movement compared with a standard road-use bushing, helping improve drivetrain stability and gearshift feel.
The supplied Original Porsche hardware allows the associated mounting components to be renewed at the same time.
Functions:
• Replaces the gearbox mount bushing
• Heavy Duty OE Match specification
• Includes Original Porsche mounting hardware
• Helps reduce excessive transmission movement
• Supports improved drivetrain stability
• Can provide a more direct and precise drivetrain feel
• Helps improve gearshift consistency under load
• Suitable for fast road, performance, or uprated applications
• Complete bushing and hardware replacement solution
Why Choose the Heavy Duty Version?
A Heavy Duty gearbox mount bushing is designed to provide firmer support than a standard replacement bushing. By reducing excessive transmission movement, it can help improve drivetrain response and provide a more connected feel during acceleration, deceleration, and gear changes.
This makes it particularly suitable for cars used for enthusiastic road driving or where increased drivetrain control is preferred.
Why Replace This Kit?
Gearbox mount bushes deteriorate over time due to age, heat, oil contamination, vibration, and repeated drivetrain loading. Worn mounts can allow excessive transmission movement, contributing to vibration, knocking, drivetrain shunt, or inconsistent gearshift feel.
Mounting hardware may also corrode, seize, or become damaged during removal. Replacing the bushing and hardware together provides a more complete gearbox mount refresh.
When to Replace This Kit
• Gearbox mount rubber is cracked, soft, or collapsed
• Excessive transmission movement is present
• Drivetrain shunt or knocking is noticeable
• Gearshift feel becomes inconsistent under load
• Original hardware is corroded or damaged
• Gearbox or drivetrain service is being carried out
• A firmer, performance-focused mount is required
• Vehicle is undergoing drivetrain restoration or upgrade
Where it fits on the car
This kit fits at the gearbox / transmission mounting point for applications using gearbox mount reference 99737503303.
Applications / Fitments
• Suitable for applications using gearbox mount reference 99737503303
• Heavy Duty specification for increased drivetrain support
• Always verify vehicle fitment against the listed part numbers before ordering
